It’s impossible to create resistance against a muscle that is moving a joint in the same direction as gravity unless you perform the movement explosively, which is not being done in the demonstration. On the contrary the exercise is using the longissimus dorsi, the gluteus maximus, the hamstrings, and the trap 3.
